Sturdy locking option for exterior gates
Mounted on tall timber gates with perfect finish. The frame of the fence is 2x4's and the 4" lumber frame didn't have enough depth for the main lock - looks like 5" lumber for bracing would be sufficient. Installed well, very close after installation. I wish it would close more smoothly, but hopefully the spring mechanism will loosen up after some use. The solid locking action is a nice feature. I don't like how cheap the black trim looks when you look closely. I'd consider a few coats of good quality spray paint, but it's doable. It's a solid option and looks clean.
