If you think this will be a simple pop out pop in you may he wrong. Make sure you look up a video on YouTube of a lock change so you know what to expect, and prepare to potentially take your sliding door out of its frame just in case you have to fish something out.Beyond that, it works like a charm. You MUST lubricate the lock with some WD40 as it doesn't come oiled from the factory.

There is a metal pin inside the lock that will needs to be cut. Not something the average household can do without buying or borrowing bolt cutters. A simple project is now taking much longer. NOT AN EASY CHANGING OF HARDWARE. I will probably buy a new handle if I can't find someone that can cut the pin. The quality feels good but it's useless at this point.

Very difficult to install because the instructions are terrible. Ended up using some parts fromt he old lock to get it to work.

This is very nice once installed but the install wasn’t easy. You’ll need a grinder, Drexel, power screw driver and a Phillips screw driver. Takes two people to install.

Not super hard to install. Had to use part of the existing hardware as the part that came with this didn't fit. It works, but is a little difficult to turn the key. No way to adjust that any differently.

This handle/lock set fit my door well. I didn’t even have to change out the latch part. Once installed, it worked smoothly and has a sturdy feel to it. The installation does require some cutting of the flat, metal pieces that engage with the latch assembly. They are too long, likely to accommodate thicker doors so I’m sure it will need to be cut regardless of the type of door you have. I had issues finding one that would allow me to replace the whole door handle sets! This one was kind of tough to insert the inner door piece, but with a little hammering it fit inside nice and snug! Instructions were very clear and it was easy to install!

Product is good quality. The hardest part was cutting the metal tongues so that they line up just right inside the mortise slot. Be prepared! You will need something that cuts metal! (Make sure to measure first though).

I’ve been having trouble finding a keyed sliding door lock. This one finally worked for me. It’s pretty good quality, fairly easy to install. The few issues I had 1- the inner latch pin was too long, ended up cutting the lock pin short and had to buy a new one, cutting down the latch pin the second time around2-don’t over tighten the screws on the handle it can prevent the lock from functioning. We had to replace the handle on our old sliding glass door. The lock part on this one was a little too small but we managed to get it installed. It seems pretty well made. My old door is hard to open and close - which is how the old handle broke off. This one seems to be handling it okay.

It took more adjusting than I anticipated so the job took longer than I thought. But the lock is installed and it does look good. I hope it lasts as long as the previous lock.

Package came in well wrapped and was easy to install. The only drawback was that there were only two 55 millimeter screws. M5, 55. I accidentally stripped the Phillips due to too much torque on my power driver. I had to order another pack of machine screws and had to paint them white to blend in with the handles. I would recommend this and would order again, but would say to be careful because there are no extra hardware pieces.

I've seen a few people mention notches on the latch portion. Mine did not have notches.Installation was overall simple but I don't have a bunch of tools for cutting latches. Thankfully, I have a Dremel and while it felt like it took forever I was able to get the latches down to the correct size.The indoor handle also had these small notches on the inside where the screw goes through and I had to dremel those down as well so it would be flush on my door.Another thing, the instructions need to…

Hole in sliding door matching so I thought it will take a 1/2h. But whan I tighten screws my lock was hard to twist. Then I started to thing how to expand door from inside. To widen the door from the inside, I used a few screws to connect the cabinets that I had left from the Ikea cabinets. It helped. See pictures.

Our lock that came with our sliding door broke. So we had to buy a new one and all I did was search for sliding door lock. This was the only one that came up and we were hesitant to buy it but fortunately ebay has an easy return policy. But luckily we did not have to return it.it worked perfectly. it was not the exact same handle that came with the door originally but it did the job. And it was cheaper than buying it from Lowes or home Depot( our home improvement stores in our area).

Finding a key lock for a patio door was difficult, this worked perfect. would still prefer a combination lock, but until then, this will suffice quite nicely.
