I've seen a few people mention notches on the latch portion. Mine did not have notches.Installation was overall simple but I don't have a bunch of tools for cutting latches. Thankfully, I have a Dremel and while it felt like it took forever I was able to get the latches down to the correct size.The indoor handle also had these small notches on the inside where the screw goes through and I had to dremel those down as well so it would be flush on my door.Another thing, the instructions need to mention putting a pencil/pen in the holes underneath where the lock goes so it doesn't fall down.
