Door handle worked for my sliding door

We had to replace the handle on our old sliding glass door. The lock part on this one was a little too small but we managed to get it installed. It seems pretty well made. My old door is hard to open and close - which is how the old handle broke off. This one seems to be handling it okay.

I bought this lock set for the express purpose of being able to lock my door from the outside. The door locks fine but everytime you bring the key back up to vertical to remove it the door unlocks too! I will keep on looking for a lock set that actually works.
