I have tested a lot of different types of dog collars on my dogs and this is by far the best. It is light, durable, and can be adjusted to fit the dog's neck so that it can't get out. With this dog collar my dogs had no problem leaning down to eat or drink, it kept them from messing with their surgical areas, and they looked the most comfortable laying around in it. It's very soft and spongy and my dog's didn't try to take the collar off or bite it so I'm not sure how well it would hold up to a dog chewing on it. Overall this is a really nice collar and I wish I would have found it before I had to use a plastic cone on one of my poor babies :(First dog pictured is a Chihuahua about 5lbs (hernia surgery) and the second dog pictured is a Chihuahua just under 5lbs (eye surgery and neutered) and you can see how he does not like the cone as much as the collar. This collar kept them both from messing with either areas. The collar fit them both and could fit my teacup Chihuahua that is 4lbs and my mixed Chihuahua that is 10lbs so there is a bit of range in size.
