Good gift for someone who has some experience with woodworking or construction. Maybe a little harder for a novice to use. This miter saw protractor is beautifully machined from aluminum (no plastic here) and is a welcome addition to my toolbox especially when trying to get accurate odd-angle cuts in moulding when using my sliding compound miter saw.The white-on-black markings are easy to read but you have to count the 2-degree-interval markings carefully because they are quite small and close together.It's a quality tool that will make many projects easier and faster to complete.

If you're like me I calculate twice, then twice again before I make a cut. This little device just let's me set it in the corner where I need to install trim and I get an instant read of a single or miter cut. It's stronger (and smaller) than expected, and the numbers are very easy to read.

I already owned a digital protractor that I used for measuring angles, but I'll tell you what, I actually like this one better. It's a bit heavier than I would have expected from an aluminum tool, but I think that's a good thing. Likewise, the motion of the arms seems solid, but not too tight. It's just tight enough so that it won't move once the angle is laid out. I didn't have high expectations when I ordered this, but frankly it's a pleasant suprise.

These are so handy to have, and they are just better made than the cheap plastic ones (by the big name in precision even!). Mine was accurate (see video). I haven't gotten one yet that has been off. There really is nothing not to like about these.

I like this tool and I like the price. Even my wife was impressed by the finish and how smooth it operates. I think it's a great deal, I paid almost this much for a flimsy one made out of thin acrylic. The dual arrow pointers are a nice touch if you don't want to do division to come up with the right angle for multiple pieces that miter together. Good stuff!

I used this tool to figure out an angle of a cut that I needed to make. For that, it worked fine. It seems well-built, and the aluminum pieces have a nice fit and finish. When adjusting angles, the two parts move smoothly and easily. Since this same angle finder is available from many sellers on Revain, I would recommend going with the most inexpensive one.
