Review on Improved SEO: OXO Good Grips Non-Stick Pro 1 Pound Loaf Pan by Vace Thompson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best baking pan I've had in almost 60 years of baking

For health reasons, we make our bread from freshly ground wheat and have used different types of baking pans for decades: glass, ordinary metal, non-stick metal. Hands down, the OXO Pro Gold Bread Pan outperforms them all by baking even and fairly nicely browned baked goods that pop out of the pan easily, for both yeast and quick breads. It's also a much better buy than the Williams & Sonoma gold bakeware, which is so expensive it feels like it's real gold. I'll be buying more OXO Pro products and donating my current stash of bread pans to charity. The pan cooks faster than glass, of course, but also faster than my other metal pans, so check your baked goods ahead of time and often for doneness until you feel it. The pattern on the bottom doesn't deform the baked goods at all, and like all good cooking utensils, I hand wash this: dish soap is extremely harsh and always ruins aluminum and silicone items over time because of the chemistry, you know? I would highly recommend this bread pan to any baker. Hand washing is a small price to pay for a quality kitchen tool you can count on.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some bugs
