Like my headline says. This will vary by the user and their car. If the user does not apply this sealant correctly, it may not work right. If the users car has leaks that are too large to be sealed, it most certainly will NOT work at all.I have a 2011, Chrysler 200, 145,000 miles. Long story short, had a coolant leak in the winter, didn't know it, car never ran hot due to the cold, once the weather shifted into the 70's and 80's, the car heated SEVERELY to the point of failure (turned off). I was trying to get off the highway but there were no exits so I drove it like, 15 miles when the engine was red lining. Not good. I wish I had just pulled over right away. The engine on these Chrysler's are definitely durable. Engine survived, but not without damaging some components that I had to fix. Anyway, the leak was in the manifold, fixed it, but then the water pump went, it was apparently the original pump so the overheating may have did it in, fixed that. SOMEHOW, a leak still persisted somewhere. As the car is older, I was not putting in any more money unless it was a minor issue that my mechanic may have missed, like a bad hose somewhere. The parts and labor hit me for two grand. I figured I would try a cheap fix and see if I got lucky. So, my tech savvy uncle and I went to Wal Mart and found this stuff. Reviews were favorable so we applied it. We poured it in the overflow tank, topped it off with new coolant, ran it idle like the bottle said, I drove it around the area for a few miles, drove it home that night (40 miles), since then, nothing. Couple slight increases in the temperature but nothing I would worry about. Probably have driven at least several hundred miles in the last few weeks. I check under the car for drips and drops, none. I check the coolant level in the overflow, its stayed the same. My AC runs ice cold even with the temperature being in the high 90's where I live. Aside from slight temperature spikes (which may be a separate issue entirely), the car is fine. I've even driven it 90 on the highway so it's not like I baby it now. If I can hold onto the car for another year or two, this product just saved me a lot of money from either more repairs or buying a new car entirely. To sum it up, it works. It just works. IT WON'T WORK if your leak is severe. All these bad ratings are from people who probably had leaks so severe that they need a mechanic. The bottle even says if it doesn't work, take it to a professional mechanic.
