I use it for grilling. I wish they were a little more flexible as they are difficult to manipulate with pliers. But for heat protection, they really work. I also use them to bake bread. Cast iron Dutch oven 500 degrees. This is the best I've ever used. There are no burns and they are very well built. I've had other brands where the seams unravel and you burn badly. I just bought another pair so I can allocate one to bake bread and one to grill. When handling grills, etc., black residue will make the gloves quite dirty. So when I bring them to bake bread, they smear black grease stains on my appliances. It is quite difficult to remove the black layer of grease from a silicone glove. So I'll just buy another pair as advertised. These things are the best I've ever used.
