Just received the mittens and used them as a hot pot with plenty of liquid to drain. I really like their length as I don't get steam burned like shorter mittens sometimes do!

These gloves are not flexible enough to grip pots, ability to grip pans is limited as the material is not flexible enough. These gloves are actually dangerous because it's very easy to drop any pot you try to grab. May.ybr if you have huge hands this might work. I just missed the return deadline.

I use them while working in a restaurant kitchen and have never had heat from a baking pan unlike what we are used to in a restaurant supply store. They hold up well in a commercial kitchen but some work is required to clean the gripping part as they are grooved. All in all, we keep buying them because they work.

I love to bake no knead bread which requires a very hot oven and casserole dish. Double oven mitts and regular oven mitts do not provide adequate heat protection. These silicone gloves get the job done, don't require extra thumbtacks, and are long enough to cover most of my forearms. I recommend these for use around the oven or grill. Too bad I bought them a long time ago.

I bought them specifically to avoid painful burns on my forearm when working with Dutch Oven to bake bread without kneading. I used to avoid silicone heating pads and gloves because I thought they were slippery. These gloves proved me wrong. They offer excellent protection against scalding and still easily handle heavy preheated pots. I love them so much they have become my go-to for every oven bake. I also plan to use them when I grill. I use it for grilling. I wish they were a little more flexible as they are difficult to manipulate with pliers. But for heat protection, they really work. I also use them to bake bread.
