Review on Munchkin Miracle 360 Fruit Infuser Sippy Cup, 14 Ounce, Green by Miriam Davis

My little friends love having fruit flavored water

This Munchkin Miracle 360 Fruit Infuser Water Sippy Cup, 14 Ounce, is definitely spill proof and my little friends love having fruit flavored water. (Try watermelon - really good.)This is a completely, spill proof drinking cup. You can turn it over and nothing leaks out, unlike traditional sippy cups. It has a unique, silicone, cap that allows the child to drink from any spot on the top of the cup. But this cup also has a fruit basket in the bottom that allows you to add fresh fruit to create fruit flavored water, if you desire. (You can use the cup with no fruit, also.)The cup comes apart in to 6 pieces - the silicone cap, the plastic lid, the clear plastic body, the clear plastic fruit cup, the plastic bottom and the silicone fruit cup gasket. This makes it very easy to clean. When reassembling, just make certain the align the notches when reinstalling the fruit cup, which must be in place whether you are using fruit or not. If the notches are not aligned, it will leak.Drinking out of it takes a bit of getting used to. You almost have to bite down a little on the silicone cap and then suck. Once the child gets used to it, it works very well and I love the spill proof aspect of this cup. I can give allow a toddler to have a drink anywhere in the house or out and about with no worries about messes. It's obviously great for young kids but it's also wonderful for taking in the car or for people with disabilities, which make it hard to hold a conventional cup without spillage. (Munchkin makes a 20oz version for adults.) I was thinking when I got it that it would have been excellent for my friend's father, who had late stage Parkinson's disease.

Pros
  • This sippy cup is a great way to encourage your child's independence and self-reliance
Cons
  • Could be more difficult to find in stores compared to traditional sippy cups
