My girl has swollen ears and regular earrings become uncomfortable after a while - she has tangled with the stud on the back of every earring she has had or would have . Their ears are then irritated as to whether they are of silver or of gold. She got her ears pierced as a child and I always took care of them so they didn't close. I was afraid to try the loop as she has long hair. But that was no problem for my 6 year old! She likes these earrings, this pair doesn't bother her, she sleeps in them and so far so good. I hope cleaning the silver won't be a problem. Time will tell how she wears them. all is well!
