Place the luminoodle strip on the TV screen before gluing

I really didn't want to cut the luminoodle strip at any of the marked spots because the description of where to cut wasn't crystal clear. As it turned out, I didn't have to be scared of that as I had trouble reaching 360 degrees with a screen up to 80 inches. I had a 77 inch screen and it had to fit perfectly. But I did plug the connector into a USB port, removing the protective tape in the process. I chose a bezel about 1 inch from the outside edge of the TV around the entire perimeter of the TV. Once the three sides of the TV were framed with Luminoodle, I realized they weren't going to converge at first. , without any direction, I took a punt and took the very end of the Luminoodle and attached it to the starting point. I had to remove the entire set of LED Luminoodles and move my frame PATH INSIDE to ensure I could cover the entire sides of the TV. Luckily, the sticky backing of the strip allowed me to detach and reattach it fairly easily, allowing me to succeed. I ended up adding a strip of Luminoodle from the outside edges of the TV to roughly line up the two ends and not leave any gap unlit. So if you buy one of these kits, understand that you have to play around with #*&! with him to connect it to the TV in an acceptable way. Point #2 is that on my new Sony the lighting system didn't turn on and off automatically with the TV's power button and I had to use a tiny remote control to do this. If you forget it, it stays on after you turn off your TV, associated AV receiver, and your wireless/wired device (in my case, it's an AT&T wireless connection). The instructions said it would work with "most" but I didn't really believe that statement. As far as I know it can only be set with one brand of TV and once you have your TV plugged in you have to assume that your TV isn't like most they spoke of when it wasn't automatically switched off be. Overall the lighting system works well, but the setup sucked and I wasn't impressed that I had to turn the unit on and off manually. Also, it was difficult to turn 90 degrees with the taping system. I set up Luminoodle during the day, standing on a ladder either side of my 77 inch TV. Tonight I will see him work for the first time. The hardest part is done and I don't expect any problems. B. with a remote control or LED lighting device. Addendum: Although the Luminoodle works perfectly now, I have found that the light intensity is not strong enough for my needs. Maybe there is another lighting module that is brighter. Happy hunting.
