This is the second one I own. I installed the first one at a local garage so felt confident about installing this one myself. It's easy to install. I drilled a hole behind the license plate to run the wires through. It was discreet and made installation easier instead of running cables through the trunk trim. I then connected the power cord to the reverse light cord and placed the transmitter in a convenient location in the trunk. The camera cables are simply connected to the transmitter cables. The mirror/screen clips over the existing rearview mirror. The receiving unit can be located behind the mirror. The receiver and display can be powered from the vehicle's cigarette lighter or auxiliary socket. I tidied up my setup a little by plugging the power cord into a fuse in the fuse box and running the cord out of sight along the side of the windshield. The display is bright and crisp, better than the factory hardware in my opinion. . I like the picture in the rearview mirror.
