Not worse than series. They fit and work great on my 2002 Mazda Miata (1.8L I4). They are resistive type (like the standard devices) so they don't interfere with electronics or radio signals. They don't interfere with AM or FM radio stations in my car and they don't interfere with my Scosche FM transmitter. No static.
