I got this for a living room console game headset, so I did not want any power cord to a USB to power it and the USB hub. This fit the bill perfectly and the color changing pole is a bonus nice feature. I didn't want chasing led lights. Only caveat is that since the pole is plexi, it's not as sturdy as the aluminum pole variation of this stand. It's just sitting there, so it's not an issue. I also like the two power outlets on the back of the base. That's nice for plugging in fast charge vendor specific power adapters (Samsung, Apple) that would likely not fast charge through the USB ports in the front. Great design!
