The clip was too small
I tried it on the table. I tried it on my desk. It would open for an oak tv tray but then the light was too heavy and the tray fell over. The light had nice brightness and crazy magnification. It just wouldn't work for my needlework because I didn't own anything to clip it on that was the right size.
