I built my first gaming PC and I couldn't have done it without the ease of use of the MSI B450 Tomahawk as a motherboard. When I found the right processor for my build, the Ryzen 5 2600x, I needed to find the perfect motherboard to complement that component. On a budget, I looked at MSI motherboards and really wanted something that was ready for 2nd Gen Ryzen processors so I wouldn't have to worry about flashing the BIOS. The MSI B450 delivered on that promise and installing all of my components on this board was almost automatic. I also wanted a motherboard capable of running DDR4 memory at 3000MHz. Again, this is not a problem with this motherboard. Since it also supports up to 64GB, it can still grow with me as I update this setup. They're even designed for overclocking, although I haven't done that yet. It's really made for people who want to build mid to high end gaming systems and they've thought of everything a gamer needs. Cosmetically, this item is beautiful. The metallic colors surrounding the motherboard branding are a nice touch, there are some built-in RGB lights to illuminate your case and it just looks fantastic when paired with everything else. To me this is a budget board that does a lot more than other more expensive boards and for that I am grateful that I was able to find this board and bring my first gaming rig to life.
