After figuring out how to set it up, this little device saved hours adding 68 handles to our new home closets. I was skeptical about the plastic parts, but the metal ruler is very accurate and the plastic parts are pretty strong. Put some tape on the first handle area and use a pencil in the mount to see exactly where the holes will be. Adjust as needed to achieve the perfect result. You can then turn the lead over and pierce the right and left cabinets very accurately. Hold it from below and to the side. I just did a quick drill with the jig and then finished the holes after removing it. For drawers, set the tee at the 0 mark and put two holes equally spaced from 0 to the width of your handles. Then simply use the scale on the ruler to center the fixture on each drawer, regardless of drawer width.
