Review on Lightweight Carbon SUP Paddles By Abahub - 3 Section Adjustable 67"- 86" Shaft For Stand-Up Paddleboards, Includes Carrying Bag by Doug Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sturdy, lightweight, and it floats!

I love that this how do fluids and can break down to fit in my travel sup bag. The locking mechanism could be a little tighter, may need to hand tighten with a screw driver before taking it out.

Pros
  • CARBON SHAFT: The carbon composite shaft contributes to the lightweight of the whole paddle. Itโ€™s stiff yet with certain flexibility required to maintain better performance and protect the shaft from breaking under extreme powerful stroke. The ergonomic and patterned PP handle grip increases traction and comfort for the hand.
Cons
  • The paddle may not offer as much maneuverability as other types of paddles

The bottom 2 thirds where there is no locking mechanism that locks in place the bottom and the middle shaft together, except for just a flexible snap-in metal ball, gives an undesirable play of approxamently .125". This means after a period of usage that play will only get more pronounced rendering the paddle useless. There are after-market locking braces one can buy but at this point not sure if any are designed to fit this particular paddle.
