So, I have JETTA 2008 2.5. The leadership is evident. The trunk was pretty worn and dirty so I decided to buy a new one and to remove it on these Jettas you have to remove the shift knob. I went aftermarket, I'm 31, I didn't want a flashy figure eight or flashing neon lights. Just something practical. Anyway, I ordered a universal case and pen and it was a nightmare. I spent over an hour cutting the skirt on my boot to the correct length and then using the lace and suspenders as directed just didn't fit perfectly and snapped. So I threw it in the trash and ordered this replacement part. Should have done it right at the beginning. It comes pre-assembled and all you have to do is slide the handle, snap it in place and snap the case into place. Took 3 minutes and looks great. It is also possible to adjust the knob further down than the original to give it a shorter stroke when shifting. WOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD.
