Review on Fintie Purple iPad 10.2 Inch Case (9th / 8th / 7th Gen - 2021/2020/2019) - Corner Protection, Multi-Angle Viewing Stand, Pocket & Pencil Holder, Auto Wake Sleep by Mark Bishop

Overall rating: A+ for the product itself. C- for color/pattern selection and solid colors currently offered. I just upgraded my 6th gen iPad (and its awesome orange Fintie case) to an 8th gen iPad. I definitely recommend this product - there is no better reviewer than someone who has repurchased in a different size. Here are the pros and cons of the 8th Gen Fintie case, which is identical in every way to the one I have for the 6th Gen. , except for the size: Pros: Quality: Sturdy case that protected my iPad (never dropped) when put in a backpack many times during a trip to South Africa. The case wears well. The corners where the device attaches aren't hard plastic, but I've never worried about damaging the device. I've never dropped it, of course, but it's slipped off the couch and onto the carpet many times. Colors: Personally, I don't like solid colors that much. Ordered in red, dark green and purple. All had some sort of dull, "muddy" color. I expected scarlet, deep and rich festive green and bright purple. nope Have attached a photo. The red color is similar to the scarlet sweater in the photo, but not as bright in real life and quite dirty/boring. Green is a kind of dark army green. Purple isn't terrible, but it's not exciting either. All colored upholstery has a pebbled leather texture that goes well with plain upholstery. Stripes sewn on the inside of the front cover and a frame around the device in the same color as the cover (see photo of iPad 6th generation with orange frame/cover). I wish it came in cleaner and brighter colors like orange (bring my orange back!), lime green, fuchsia, light teal, grape purple, light royal blue, sunny yellow, etc. If it came in orange I would buy it. because it's bright, fun, and eye-catching - easy to find in a stack of papers or on a cluttered desk! Pattern: Not too many. Some of them looked too much like teenagers or 20s or were too busy with too many patterns and colors. Ordered in Starry Sky, Galaxy, Constellation, Essay Collection (super cute) and Starry Night (Van Gogh). They were all fine. Unfortunately, the finish is matte, which doesn't add depth, saturation, or brilliance to the colors. You'll look better with a slightly glossy finish. The back of the galaxy is slightly different from the front as the photo continues around the spine (see photo). The embroidered stripes on the inside of the front cover and the frame around the device are black on all devices with a patterned cover. The black border around my gray screen (with a black border) looked boring. I want the vibrant colors around the device that my old orange offers. Miscellaneous: An outside pocket could be useful, but I didn't have to. The black elastic loop for a pen or Apple Pencil is fairly unobtrusive in real life. I don't use it, but it doesn't bother me. It could be easily cut cleanly. The bars holding the body at three different angles work well and I never needed additional angles. On the rare occasion that the device needs to stand upright, I just flip the lid off and lean the whole thing against something, or fold the lid back into a V-shape and leave it on its own. Not as strong as horizontal, but it suits me. I highly recommend this quality product. I wish Finty would RETURN ORANGE and suggest other fun solid colors (or at least fix the red and make it a bright, shiny red). If others were available I would buy a few more and switch them up depending on the season or mood. In the end I left Van Gogh. I've always loved this painting and although it's different from my previous one, it has a design/color on the spine that makes it easy to find in a stack of newspapers or magazines.
