Attention diabetics. - Sports Nutrition
I was just researching some of these electrolyte drinks and found that the sugars in them are not that good. Diabetics should be warned that dextrose raises blood sugar levels as it causes insulin resistance. I should have done my research earlier as I was giving this to my son to keep him hydrated due to his diabetes. Diabetics find it difficult to stay hydrated. His blood sugar is high since he drank this electrolyte drink. Dextrose is derived from corn, so may be GMO unless otherwise noted. I also wonder what the WARNING on the label means, do not reuse the bottle!
