Ideal for me! Maybe not for everyone else.

I live in Florida and ride my motorcycle. Rain in Florida is a way of life. They appear out of nowhere and can drain a lot of water. I have a lovely Frogg Togg raincoat that works perfectly. I'm tired of getting my feet and boots wet. I have read all the reviews on a number of products. I chose "Frogg Toggs" mainly because of the features of my Frogg Togg raincoat, I love it. These waterproof shoe covers are more expensive than other brands I've looked at. However, I was interested in a product that would keep my boots and feet dry and durable. Other reviews said they work "great". When I bought my raincoat I knew Frogg Toggs are really big. I wear shoe size 12. I ordered "S/M". They are perfect for both pairs of boots. Others complained that they were "heavy". They are clearly "heavy duty" but I don't consider them heavy. They are "perfect" for me and my goal. At 6' they fit just below my knee. The instep closure is sturdy and well suited to your material. The closure on the lower leg is the same, with velcro it works well. I have used Frogg Togg products for many years and know that even the cheapest models will keep you warm. You talked about durability. I expect these waterproof shoe covers to last for years. If I were on a hike, which I do, I would still take these shoe covers with me. Wet, cold feet hurt more than anything I can think of. I understand "ounces are pounds and pounds are pain" but the slight weight gain is offset by "dry, warm" shoes and feet when undressing.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
