Review on Tetra Whisper Easy Aquariums Non UL Fish & Aquatic Pets by Michelle Kelley

This is an aquarium pump, Revane, not a vacuum cleaner. So it blows rather than sucks, or at least the air intake is irrelevant to its function. What really sucks is how this site deleted my written review after I tried to add a video. I received it on 7/27/22 so hopefully I won't have to comment on durability any time soon. The noise level is normal for this type of pump and doesn't bother me, but it may bother other users. . It got louder after I added a bubble stone for the brine shrimp hatchery. It's definitely less noisy than the battery powered pump I used. It works with a 10 gallon foam filter and reserve capacity air stone. You have the foresight to fit an aftermarket flow control valve. I've seen pricier models with a built in check valve, but Aquaneat's sponge filter kit included one. A built in check valve, flow valve and power switch would be nice. It would cost half what I would pay at my local hardware store in rural Wisconsin. (Sorry guys.) PetSmart sells it for even more. All in all, that's a lot. Wanted to buy another one but didn't need to.
