Update: I received a new filter within two days and the water tastes amazing. I live by the beach and if you've ever been to the coastal areas you know the water is disgusting. Through this filter, it tastes like spring water. No chemical taste/smell. For me, customer service is just as important as the quality of the product. I received my filter, rinsed it for 20 minutes and was amazed at how clean my water was afterwards. There was one big difference. However, once the water was on my counter, the taste became awful after about 30 minutes. I contacted Home Master support. They immediately called me to find out what was going on. At my address, they understood that I was at the beach and that there is a specific type of chemical or treatment that is used to purify the water. Matt, a customer service rep, explained that I needed an elite filter and would ship it the same day for free. I was shocked! I hope to update the review next week after the new filter is here and we've tested it thoroughly. You get 5 stars for making me feel like a valued customer.
