They are thick and sturdy. The block the light but not completely black. They block the cold (winter in Northern MN) very well and I imaging, will block heat this summer too. The colors are very nice. Came well packaged and they do have fold lines but aren't super wrinkled. They are also nice and wide panels so I was able to order half as many as I was going to need from Wal-Mart or Target. The fact that they come in a 2 pack panel was also a bonus. I needed 2 different lengths of the same colors and that was easy to accomplish with these. All in all I'm very satisfied.
