CRAZY best kit I've found

It's important to note that I'm a professional installer. I have used many different power bridge products and even tried to build my own kit. Other than that, this is by far the best set I've found. This is a great solution for people like me. I'm not a licensed electrician so I can't add houses to the circuit and I also pledge to comply with the regulations. Since it's illegal to run anything other than the Romex into the wall, you should definitely avoid the standard power strip (which I've seen before). My biggest complaint with this kit was that the power cord was never the "right" length. Always either too long or too short, most often too long which meant the cables had to be secured with zip ties. This kit solves this problem with the ability to shorten or lengthen the power cord with an adjustable "hose" fitting. I love it. I really wish this product also had 4 "tabs" instead of two on each box, but it's still great. Next - the possibility of cutting two holes in the wall instead of four. The kits I've used in the past required an old high voltage work box for the power supply and an old low voltage work box for the A/V cables. As you can see from the picture, this kit includes both high and low voltage in one box. The low voltage side includes a Decora style socket so you can switch the adapters to other plates if you wish. I prefer the "solid cable holes" that come with the kit. No, this kit does NOT include a Romex. Because of this, some reviewers gave it a poor score; You are fools. It's not in the photo so don't think it's included. Romex is cheap at Lowes or any power supply. I buy it in bulk to save money, but homeowners may want to stick with 6-10 feet. The only thing I want is a template. I ended up creating my own template by measuring and cutting it from the cardboard that came with the kit. You can then make sure it fits properly in the box before cutting the drywall. There is no excuse for poor planning. Always make sure to measure several times before cutting. If you have a spike finder, also swipe vertically to see if there are horizontal brackets between the spikes. This can create a serious kink in your installation plans. Other tools to help with installation include a stud finder, a drywall saw, "fishing tape" or "fishing sticks" to catch the wire in the wall (especially important if you have insulation in the wall), and a spirit level. fails, check Angie's list to find a good professional to do the job, or search Install Heroes at Revain Local Services in East Tennessee.

Pros
  • Paintable non-metal pad
Cons
  • I won't say anything
