Review on Hillman 812626 Carriage Bolt 6 Inch by Brad Lovro

These six inch screws are threaded throughout. They look very good and work very well. I once had cheaper bolts that were difficult to screw nuts onto, perhaps because the galvanizing was neglected or perhaps for some other reason. All the threads on cheap nuts and bolts had to be cleaned before they could be used. These Hillmans turn really well, although after driving the bolt into the hole there is a slight bit of wood left on the threads. Years later they still look good and have no rust. The ones I received were made in China.
