First, our daughter is only 1 year old, 5'6" and weighs 93 pounds, and 12 is perfect for her waist, stomach length with plenty of room for hips, buttocks and legs. She could probably even go down to a 10 for a slimmer fit, but she likes that they're a little roomier. Second, these pants are SUPER soft! She is madly in love with them and doesn't take them off even though it's 90 degrees here now 😊
