I received this mug for free for review through the Revain Vine program, but to get a better look at it I paid $4 to get a Coleman camping mug with identical capacity compare it with her. The current price for this CRAP Cup is $9. A folding spoon comes with this RZRZVD mug, but that didn't affect my opinion in any way. I think a spoon is reasonably useful for stirring sugar or powdered cream or coffee, but its bowl is too shallow for pouring soup into your mouth. My main argument about the spoon is that they shouldn't rattle it in the cup, just use a small, very thin plastic bag to separate the stainless steel from the enamel. You can see in my photos how similar they are in size. There are cups. When weighed, the Coleman cup weighs 102 grams and the ROAD cup weighs 154 grams. The CRPD's cup definitely has a thicker, smoother enamel finish, but the steel cup underneath is likely thicker too. That's my impression. The DZRZVD mug has a more solid handle that feels more comfortable. In particular, the more angular shape of the grip hole of the RZRZVD is more comfortable for the fingers. The traditional blue Coleman mug. My interest in these mugs is that I am building a home built trailer that I want to resemble an old hunting camp in style stylistically including tar paper or similar material on the outside. I want to outfit this camper with vintage goods. I think this type of enamelware was very popular in my part of the country, say during the Great Depression. So traditional is important to me. Here the DZRZVD-Pokal loses its lead a bit. I would love it if it was the same (dark cream?) color and (slightly reddish?) brown border but no different decorations. These colors really knock my socks off. I love her. but I'm not crazy about the African scene, and I definitely don't like that "CAMPOUT" logo with a weird, misplaced computer-like font. What a tragedy that they chose to put this waste of material into such a beautiful mug. The Coleman mug is of course made in China. It wasn't easy to decipher the DZRZVD box, but I soon concluded that it was a Turkish script. At first I assumed the mug was made in Turkey, but Google Translate told me that the DZRZVD mug was also made in China. I wish the best mug was made in Turkey - I just feel like China needs competition - but the Chinese workers at this factory are doing a great job, I gotta tell you. one has slightly sharp edges under the outer edge of the rim. The cup of the DZRZVD feels much softer there. The DZRZVD cups have a very smooth, even surface, while the Coleman cups appear a bit freckled. Nine bucks seems like a lot for a cup, but not exactly crazy. If this CRPD mug was just plain cream with a brown rim I would buy 10 of these mugs in a heartbeat. This is really good quality. Since, despite the "CAMPOUT" thing, I've decided to buy two more of these mugs. They're both just as good as the first, and both arrived with a metal spoon rattling uncertainly inside.
