This is a relatively cheap and decent hard drive. I'm not sure what type of drive is inside, but it is a drive as you can hear it spinning up when you plug it in. If you want to take photos and videos on the go then it works great as you get 500GB. Place. This assumes that you simply take them with you. For long-term storage, 500 GB is actually a bit tight at the moment, especially with the number of high-resolution cameras and videos. So if you plan to save a lot of videos and images, please note that the amount you can save depends on the quality of the video/image. I suspect the trade-off here is that you get decent transfer speeds. I checked the storage and it's 500GB. It didn't take long to review, but definitely longer than the SSD or M2 since it's a hard disk drive. There were about three crosses that needed to be filled out to check out. The average speed was a bit slower than other USB 3.0 drives, but still quite fast. There was about 80MB/s between it and the other portable drive. Only a short USB 3.0 cable is included in the scope of delivery. It's just a standard cable of the same quality as most portable drives. If you plan to use this on a Mac, please note that you must actually format the drive in order for it to work properly (i.e. transfer to and from the device, as it will definitely be read). The case is small and light, which is surprising. I'm not sure how the drive will look live when you remove it as it looks thinner than your traditional 2.5" drives. This is a durable aluminum metal, so you get good passive cooling without fear of a hard drive failure. The metal is a little scratched easily and there is no case to put it down. The cable itself is quite strong and durable, but I'm afraid that over time it will become twisted and tangled, which can lead to breakage. I also tried a Type-C to Micro USB 3.0 cable and it actually worked with this cable. Compared to many other external drives, this drive is slightly thinner than most other drives. The device feels heavy so I hope there is more metal inside to prevent it from being damaged if dropped. It's not entirely prone to dings and dents if you drop it. It will be scratched or dented if you drop it. Judging by the looks of the drive, I can't tell if it's waterproof, so I try to avoid getting water on this unit as much as possible. NOTE: This is a drive that could be damaged if you accidentally drop it on the floor, so be aware. It can stay connected to the network for a long period of time without heating or connection problems. Overall I think it's a good drive, the transfer speed isn't the best but not bad. It has a standard cable length and uses a floppy disk drive to store and transfer data.
