The description is misleading, it's not exactly copper.

What I should expect from a product description offered online is enough information, both text and images, so that you know exactly what you are getting. What a seller needs to do is properly meet the buyer's expectations. For the seller, this means they get better reviews because the buyer knows exactly what they're getting. This is an example of what not to do. First, the item doesn't look like copper, or if it does, it's very low quality copper. Brass would be a much more accurate description of this metal. Second, they had to show an exploded view of the item so you could see the quality of workmanship. they didn't because no. This item appears to have been hastily made with no attention to detail or quality control. The barrel covering the section between the ballpoint of the pen and the handle of the threaded needle is oversized (too thin) and easily damaged. As noted by other reviewers, this awl is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. It would be better to have a picture to give potential buyers an idea of its size as well as physical dimensions. Many people are better at pictures than numbers. I have the same problem as the other reviewer: I was expecting the needles to be able to be stored in the handle. Now I need to buy another container to hold the needles for this awl. This is annoying for a number of reasons: I need to buy something different than what I had planned, and it's more likely that the two items won't be together when I need them. The seller could mitigate some of this by offering a suitable needle holder with that awl. For the price it's not too bad though. If you have hands you can clean the roughness of this product and it will work in a pinch. I wouldn't call it a professional tool or even a hobby tool, it's the kind of tool you should have in your shoddy toolbox for the occasional fix and quick fix. You don't care if it's lost or broken. This isn't a real sewing awl by the way, although thread does come with it, you can sew with it, but that's the "old fashioned" way. For sewing awls, search for either "Speedy Stitcher" or CA Myers "Awl for All".
