The player works well and has a lot of great output options. The problem with this is the overall sound quality. There is plenty of high frequency in the audio output, but bass is sorely lacking. I tried hooking it up to multiple speakers and even tried a preamp with it and none of them sounded decent. It's great if you're looking for something simple to get started and have the headphones you want to plug into it. Other than those use cases, I would avoid this player.
