When it comes to motorcycle GPS navigators, I prefer to buy used, obsolete, inexpensive units with lifetime map updates. Yes, the devices I receive are usually not waterproof. So this has to be taken into account. But the unit I purchased to install this sunshade cost me $1 more than this $13.99 sunshade from a reputable auction site and is in near mint condition. So for less than $30 I have a device that I can leave wired and permanently installed on my bike dash (FJR1300) and if it suddenly stops working or eventually "disappears" it's no big deal. This screen is perfect for a Garmin 1490T which I have just used to replace my old Garmin unit. It offers a snug fit, a full view of the 5-inch screen, and a good nub size to reduce glare. I plan on trying to permanently attach the screen to the device using 3 meter external mounting tape for extra strength. Very happy with this item. fit and done.
