Nevertheless the date on my watch works fine. You simply pull the stem up to the first notch and turn until the date appears in the window. You may have to go through 30 days because it doesn't go back, but it's not that inconvenient in my opinion. The rest of the watch is easy to read and I particularly like that the glass is recessed into the case to protect it from scratches. The weak point is probably the strap, which I assume wears out fairly quickly, but that's easily fixed. Normal watch, great price. Five stars are new. Let's see how he ages.
