I appreciate the variety of different slides that came in this package. They are all clearly labeled (with a color coded sticker). They will be a good edition to our homeschool Biology class.My complaint is they are very small (see pic) and plastic. I think they are more for a child’s play microscope. Ignore some of the brutal reviews this is a great set for the money. I got these for my 7 year old, she recently used a microscope in class and absolutely loved it. I did not want her to have glass slides as she is young and clumsy and these are safer. The quality is fine. Yes if you are a Nobel prize winning scientist they might be a little childish or low quality for you but if you are, you wouldn't be buying this set in the first place. It is 15 dollars for 48 slides, they are worth that.

I got these to use in our homeschool classroom. We recently got a National Geographic microscope and wanted to expand our viewing and learning. We tried making our own slides, which is also fun, but these premade slides offered such a variety and were such a time saver.My pictures show some of the slides, and photos of the specimens through the microscope lense. This is such a great deal and value because of how many you get and I love that there was every kind of animal and plant and a versatile selection for him to go through. Perfect edition if you already have a microscope if you don't you can still use a magnifying glass which still brings just as much inspiration and education. Great gift for a classroom as well.

We have a little microscope, and while it is fun to put our own stuff onto slides these prepared slides are so much easier to use. They come with descriptions and useful information about each sample and each are already labeled and they come in a nice protective case to keep them organized by type. The kids love them and we have had a lot of fun with these!

Very nice selection of specimen microscope slides. The color coding grouping is a nice feature so you won't have to worry about mixing them up. Since the slides are plastic they're safe if they're dropped compared to more expensive slides that are glass. I'll agree with another review some of the sides seemed rushed, with most specimen slides you should have as little air bubbles as possible but it does happen. Ordered these for microscope viewing with my kids. May be too basic for children with a deeper interest in science. Great slide samples. The color coding is very convenient!

These don't fit in a standard microscope slide holder they are just off sized in seemingly every dimension. They are also poorly prepared, they have inclusions of debris and residue that make the specimens not completely clear for examination, (But some of the inclusions are interesting in their own right.)

As others have said this set isn't flawless, but for the price I'm willing to overlook it. I can also say my kids didn't really notice the imperfections until I pointed them out. It's also a learning tool on how to properly prepare slides. I'm still very satisfied for the price, just know what to expect when you get them.
