Ignore some of the brutal reviews this is a great set for the money. I got these for my 7 year old, she recently used a microscope in class and absolutely loved it. I did not want her to have glass slides as she is young and clumsy and these are safer. The quality is fine. Yes if you are a Nobel prize winning scientist they might be a little childish or low quality for you but if you are, you wouldn't be buying this set in the first place. It is 15 dollars for 48 slides, they are worth that.
