Review on ANNLOV 48-Piece Microscope Slide Set Featuring Animals, Insects, Plants, And Flowers Specimens For Kids by Michael Daniels

Great beginner set of slides for our homeschool classroom.

I got these to use in our homeschool classroom. We recently got a National Geographic microscope and wanted to expand our viewing and learning. We tried making our own slides, which is also fun, but these premade slides offered such a variety and were such a time saver. My pictures show some of the slides, and photos of the specimens through the microscope lense. The plastic slides seem to be sturdy and well made. On a few of them I could see a finger print in the margins, or a scuff on the plastic, but they didn't interfere with viewing the specimens. The assortment of slides was great and kept us busy for a long time. They covered enough items that it got the kids' brains thinking about other items they could view.I really liked that the slides were clearly labeled in plain print on the left side, and had a picture of the specimen on the right side. That really helped us visualize the source of a specimen as we began looking at it.The only thing I wish was better was the storage method. The cardboard these come in isn't reusable. It's very thin. I'll have to find some other way if storing them or separately purchase a slide storage box. Even heavier cardboard would lend itself better to storage beyond the first use.I think these slides are a great investment for beginner science students and would definitely recommend them.
