Review on ARCTIC F12 PWM PWM Signal Regulates by Roshan Schram

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent quality, very quiet, almost silent

Excellent quality, very quiet, almost silent. I replaced all 7 fans in my case with these and they work great. FYI if you are unfamiliar with PST you can essentially use it to attach multiple fans to one header as each fan has a small tail from the main header to attach another fan. in. Up to 5 fans can be connected to one connector. This is very handy for motherboards that have too few fan headers. I ended up with 4 of these fans using the PST function so all the fans on the front were in sync - which is very nice. Cable length is great and should be more than enough for a full ATX case. I would absolutely recommend her. I would definitely buy them again without a doubt. Another question I answered after using it was about static air pressure. They blow very well and move a lot of air. Two of these are installed on my closed circuit heatsink I use (Corsair H100i). They don't have the same static pressure as the Corsair HS series fans, but the system isn't overclocked and I maxed out at around 48C on a CPU with an ARCTIC F12. Corsairs are loud - damn loud, you can hear them from another room when they're going full blast. The F12 is much quieter at full throttle (although static pressure is lower), but still more than adequate. They look cool too! No stupid LEDs, no tricks. The plastic is good, thick, I've had broken blades in the past from all my fiddling and accidental bumps. I think the extra pair of wings reliably helps with noise and airflow. They are PERFECT for the front of a computer case or the rear outlet of a 120mm case. They are also double bearing fans. Now sleeve bearings are generally quieter (they don't last as long), these bearing fans are as noisy as sleeve bearings.
