Like other reviewers, I bought these bags to reduce the use of single-use items in our household. I've only used them for a short time so can't comment on durability but I can report that they are made of thick plastic with double sealed edges and a secure zip closure. They're translucent so you can see what's inside, or you can just put a freezer label on them. I bought this particular set because it contains 4 large freezer bags plus sandwich and snack bags (both of which are larger than similar disposable bags). These bags require hand washing, which is easy enough, but I find them a little bulky when drying - to make sure they're completely dry on the inside (especially the rounded corners), I first rub them down with a towel and then drape them her about it. Cups or tall glasses and leave them on the counter for a while. Of course, once dry, they can simply be stored flat or rolled up in a drawer. In general I am very satisfied.
