I built two different machines this weekend. XC60 T6 and S60 T6 R-Design. Both cars had PCV issues, high vacuum at the dipstick and oil filler cap, and an occasional high-pitched squeak. I replace the entire oil separator on the XC60 and just the PCV membrane on the S60. Upon inspection, both diaphragms had a 1/2 to 1 inch gap. After replacing the oil catcher and PCV diaphragm on both cars, the high vacuum at the dipstick and oil filler cap is gone and both cars idle smoother with no squeaks. I didn't have a check engine light so there's nothing to check or reset there. By the way, replacing the diaphragm took about 15 minutes. Replacing the oil catcher took 3 hours and a lot of swearing.
