10Mm Drain Hose For Easy Oil Changes By RuggedMade Review

I installed this on a Honda GX390 motor. I hope this drain hose will make oil changes less of a disaster. Without this hose, changing oil on this motor is "Cat in the Hat" ridiculous. Warning! Tilting the GX390 motor to assist in draining oil, can result in motor oil filling the carburetor and flowing out of the air filter housing. The air filter will have to be replaced and the entire carburetor assembly must be removed and complete flushed and drained of motor oil.

Tgere is very little room in my zero ten mower to loosen the drain plug and the oil must drain into the frame before running off into the oil catch pan. My Kohler engine was retrofit to my mower. This hose allows the oil to be drained more efficiently without all the mess. Only issue is tightening the new connector in the drain hole. So far it is working fine.

Great product, I have nothing oil leaks out my cub cadet since I bought it. It actually ruined 2 PTO clutches because of it. A friend told me about this drain hose, and it is perfect. No more leaks, cub cadet and MTD could take some lessons,

Bought four (4) oil drain port hoses for three (3) generators and one (1) snow blower. Makes changing oil easier with no mess and easier to loosen drain bolt since it is on the hose away from the engine. The key of using this product is to use Teflon resistant to oil on the threads to engine and do not over tighten the drain hose to engine. Also do not overtight the drain plug to hose.

Very easy to install, great quality. Tipped the snowblower partially on its side to not lose any oil that was inside before unscrewing plug. Good idea that makes changing oil less messy, easier.

I bought this after making a mess changing the oil on my power washer with a Honda engine, figured there had to be a better way! I got irritated at all the spilled oil on the ground when these small Honda engines are mounted too far into the frame of compressors/generators. With this, one last spilled oil is totally worth the years and years of future oil changes on my compressors/generators. I will definitely buy more!

every lawn equipment with a large enough engine should be sold with one, probably some goverment regulation preventing that.

Oil drain tube on my 80's Ariens 824 broke, and finding oem replacement was impossible, discontinued. This fit 100%, and is longer than the oem tube, but coils up out of the way.Was difficult to fit my wrench into tighten into the 90 degree block off the engine, but that's a machine design and not a defect of this product.

I'm using the Drainzit HON1012 on a Simpson MSH3125-S pressure washer with a Honda GC 190 engine. Contrary to what I read in other reviews, it's not necessary to remove the wheel of the pressure washer to install the Drainzit. Very easy to install even with oil in engine not so messy. Can't wait to change oil again. I think this should be standard on all Small engines

I have struggled in the past when changing the oil in the generator, since there's no easy way to make sure it doesn't pour every where. Nothing is perfect, but this comes close. I bought a new generator and changed the oil a couple of times during breakin before this came in and after I put this on, it was a snap!

The product works as it is supposed to, but in my opinion the hose is too short and too small in diameter. It takes forever to drain the oil (I have 3 of these, two of the 12mm honda ones and one 3/8 one on my kohler command pro). These two issues combined cause problems for me because my engines are mounted in places where i cant set the bucket down and the slow draining because of the small diameter hose means that i have to hold the drain pan up in the air for what seems like an eternity…

It's a simple yet must have product for easy mess-free oil changes on engines that don't already provide a proper oil drain. I've got 1 on my generator & 1 on my pressure washer, no more oil going everywhere during routine maintenance!

I wasn’t sure this was the right size for my Predator 670. It was a perfect fit and very easy to install. Now the generator oil changes will not create a huge mess since there is no room to place a drip pan under the drain to catch the oil.

Great idea/product to eliminate messy oil change. However, on my pressure washer the engine drain plug is very close to the wheel. So, installation screwing on the drain tube requires wheel removal. Wheel removal sounds easy but on my machine was not and work required was more than I wanted to get involved with considering my infrequent oil change.

A very easy install on my Predator 6500 Generator. It makes for an easy oil change. With generators; one should change the oil no later than 100 hours of use. In an emergency; that's less than a week. The predator brand recommends a change around 40 hours of use. This product allows for a simple drain and avoids the mess.
