Great concept. We paired the top of our stairs with Cardinal Gates Stair Top Gates (which is awesome). Had to order twice because I didn't even realize our stair railings aren't a standard 36" height. 42" fits a lot better, but I almost wish there was an extra layer of security alongside the velcro straps. While I love how strong our stair gate is at the top, I think it would be safer if we sacrificed and pierced the stair railing post. Does he feel strong? Yes. Do I feel 1000% comfortable with our 10 month old holding on to our gates and throwing things down the stairs? Not really. If this was helpful, please upvote.
