Okay, I wasn't so sure, but I decided to take a chance. I have neuropathy that makes my toes go numb. This causes me to stumble and fall more than necessary! I was looking for something that would be comfortable but also give me more sensory feedback from the ground. That's it! I can't believe how comfortable they are AND more reviews on walking barefoot. We have a gravel driveway - I felt comfortable walking on it too - the texture was noticeable but not painful. I don't know how long they will last but I am very happy with them after wearing them all day. Sure, something this thin doesn't offer arch support etc, but it's comfortable. The update is a few months later and I'm still very happy with it. I hold on really well and I love the feedback my feet get off the ground - often a problem with neuropathy in my feet. Will definitely be buying them again when they wear out, which doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon.
