An improvement over other models

First off, I've refurbished Roombas over the years. First and second generation models. (From the original to about the 700th series) The intended algorithm that Roomba would display when running was underage at best, to say the least. It always seemed to hit the same things, get stuck in the same places, and couldn't be used on black or very dark surfaces. God forbid you had animals and needed to go to the toilet while nobody was home and the robot decided to run. I can't tell you how uncomfortable it is that this removes feces from the brushes. To be honest, the early models were more of a curiosity and a toy than vacuum cleaners. At the same time, I had low expectations for each model. I've tried Roomba, BoB, Neato and Shark. None surprised me, to say the least. My sister bought one of these Lydsto robots and I happened to see it at her house. She claimed to have spent hours studying them and they are said to be the best thing yet seen. Got it on sale during the Cyber Monday sale. When I opened the box I was dissatisfied to see that it was a return and they put it back in the box. After all that was unpacked, it turned out that it was not used, but fully configured. Nothing was sealed in plastic, everything in the book is already done. Annoyed, I decided to see what he would do. And that was the end of the disappointment of the old robots. That ridiculous little protrusion at the top with a rotating red interior appears to be a lidar scanner. While the old robots used optical sensors when approaching walls and obstacles, this machine really actively maps the area. And even if you have something like a child's gate in front of the next room, she'll try to map everything she can see. I was amazed at how much more advanced this device was compared to others I've tried over the years. In the image I included, we had him work in the blue and green spaces. The third room, which is obviously unfinished, was mapped through the children's gate through several passages. I drew small red lines to indicate where the baby gate will stop the robot. It's fast and efficient. It's loud enough to let you know it's working, but the bot itself isn't bad. When discharged into the trash can, it will be very noisy for 5-8 seconds. It does a fantastic job and is far superior to any previous bots I've had. He returned to base to self-discharge and recharge each time without fail. Others never made it to the charger before dying, even with brand new batteries. I docked the star for suction as I saw it fly across the floor and not picking up a few large pieces of debris. I'm giving him 4 stars overall (I'd give him 4.5 if I could) because on all upgrades he gets stuck on slightly sloping sections of ground like everyone else. let's say in front of the fireplace, where a piece of stone lies in the wooden floor. The rock is about 1/2 inch off the ground and will get stuck there. It's annoying. Otherwise, it seems as if this company has found the recipe for success.
