Perfectly sized for the mounting brackets and thick enough to fill in the creases with no air gaps. The review I read suggested keeping it refrigerated before use, I kept it in the shade so it wasn't in direct sunlight. I would say that was good advice if you have a heat above 90 degrees as it would most likely be difficult to cut the roll and remove the wrapping if it was a bit hot. There was one spot on the roll that was so crushed that the bottom of the roll was being pushed out, most likely due to something heavy on the box. I used the tips of my scissors to cut it apart while unwrapping it, if I didn't it would be sticky enough it would be like chewing gum being pulled out and deformed. It's like stupid putty, but stickier. The thickness was the same, but if you send it by UPS, I hope you can get it in good condition, if it is the middle of summer, how they destroy packages, and every box is smashed or crushed, it will probably be crushed.
