I currently use this dispenser for my hand sanitizer/diluted alcohol. I've switched to foam soap so I won't be using it as a hand soap. What I like about this product is its large capacity and not having to refill it as you can run out of hand sanitizer pretty soon. I would recommend it for home use just because of the size. Love the steel body - when used as a hand soap in the bathroom it looks great with sanitary ware. . As with other touchless soap dispensers, you must be careful not to allow water to enter the battery case to avoid electrical circuit problems. This is another reason I prefer to use hand sanitizer in a non-aqueous environment.
