Bought this for a long road trip with my newly rescued four month old kitten. It is very lightweight and he seemed comfortable in it. We had a scare when he let himself out while we were going 80 mph on the highway, but then discovered the zipper ends can actually latch together (a great feature!) and had no more problems. Schroeder (the kitten) has grown a lot and we would not do a long trip using this crate anymore as it is on the small side, but for short trips, such as to the vet, this is fine.
