A bit fiddly but works great

I chose this as my camcorder vehicle at FGC events for my commentary cam. What I like best is that it's plug and play, which means you don't need any drivers, and that it's USB 3.0 (almost no latency). I did a quick quality comparison with my Avermedia 4k card to see what I'm up against that no other reviews show and I can honestly say I'm impressed with the results. While it doesn't feel as clean and crisp as avermedia in terms of quality, it's still a lot better than I expected, especially for the price (other thoughts on quality in the video). It's definitely a great and cheaper alternative to the El Gato HD60 (which I use during my live streams). Now to what the title says. As mentioned before, he looks a bit finicky. After a few days later finding my camcorder to try out, I plugged everything in where it should be and for some reason my computer wouldn't read mirabox. I checked the broadcast on my TV and it worked, but my computer just didn't recognize it. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting and nothing worked. I finally restarted my computer with the Mirabox still connected and after the restart the computer recognized it and was finally able to open it in OBS and XSplit. I'm not sure what caused this, or if it doesn't log in right away, is it the real fix, but I'm hoping this isn't a recurring issue. This is the reason for 4 stars. One more thing, the card is a sturdy aluminum box with little or no ventilation. Although durable, it is also susceptible to heat. Keep it out of the reach of children and other objects and try to give it as much space as possible. I would definitely recommend it as an alternative to the more expensive USB sticks, especially as an entry-level capture card for a new aspiring video game streamer/creator. .
